University Hospital Sharjah

The University Hospital of Sharjah (UHS) is a prestigious, world-class teaching hospital. UHS is centrally located alongside the College of Medicine at the University of Sharjah. Founded in 2010, this tertiary-level multispeciality hospital has been JCI Accredited since 2015. The hospital has 325 beds and 34 emergency beds, a 22-bed ICU unit, seven operating rooms and 20 neonatal ICU units, as well as 46 outpatient clinics.

The Breast Care Centre at Sharjah University Hospital is the first of its kind in Sharjah.
The centre offers early detection and quality treatment of breast cancer.
UHS is a regional centre of excellence for maternity care with a dedicated theatre suite, foetal assessment unit and ultrasound department.

Al Qassimi Hospital

Al Qassimi Hospital is a JCI-accredited hospital that serves as a flagship hospital for the Emirates Health Services organisation, providing general, specialised, and referral care in 24 specialties. Initially established in 1976 in the Al Fisht district, the new Al Qassimi Hospital moved to its current location in 1991. This 362-bed tertiary government hospital is an approved training centre for undergraduate and postgraduate medical training. In December 2012, the Cardiac Center was opened, becoming a distinguished regional centre for cardiovascular care.

The Accident and Emergency Center was opened in 2015, and the rejuvenation treatment centre was opened in 2021

Al Qassimi Women's and Children's Hospital

Al Qassimi Women’s and Children’s Hospital, opened in 2017 and JCI-accredited since 2018, is a specialised hospital for women’s health, maternity, and paediatric services. Al Qassimi Hospital for Women and Children in Sharjah has a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), communicable diseases unit, endocrine, child psychiatry, cardiovascular diseases, digestive system disorders, gynaecology department and a kidney centre. The hospital is a centre of excellence for paediatric cardiovascular surgery.

Al Qassimi Women’s & Children’s Hospital has been officially certified as a Baby-Friendly hospital following its success in complying with the quality of healthcare standards and providing outstanding services to women and children. The hospital’s four-year Paediatric Residency Program recently received accreditation from the National Institute of Health Specialties (NIHS) for Paediatric Medicine. The hospital also hosts and organises Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) examinations.
