Rashid Hospital, established in 1973, is a JCI-accredited tertiary specialized academic government hospital and regional center of excellence for emergency and trauma care. The 762 bed hospital provides highly specialized surgical and medical inpatient and outpatient care.
The hospital is one of busiest in the region and receives patients not only from Dubai but also from the Northern Emirates with a 68 bed emergency department designated as a major disaster facility for Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
Rashid Hospital is the first hospital in the UAE to be awarded the Accreditation for Best Practices in Biomedical and Clinical Engineering after achieving accreditation from the Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI).
Jebel Ali Trauma Center is a 300 bed emergency and trauma center, opened in 2021. It is strategically located in Dubai South with the Dubai Industrial City catchment areas that are experiencing an increase in population and businesses. The center complements Rashid Hospital’s emergency services.
Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, opened in 2016, is the first dedicated children’s hospital in the United Arab Emirates.
The state of the art pediatric medical facility was created under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, to affirm his belief that all children should have an equal opportunity for success in life, and the treatment of children suffering from illness or disease should not be subject to geographical chance.

Established in 1987, Latifa Hospital was the first specialised hospital in Women and Children health in UAE. Latifa Hospital receives high-risk pregnancies and performs roughly 5,000 deliveries annually.
In October 2021, paediatric services were transferred to Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital. Latifa Hospital was the first Government Hospital in Dubai to receive JCI Accreditation for Health Care Services in 2007. Latifa Hospital, along with other DHA hospitals, was awarded the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP) Distinguished Award (Distinguished Management Initiative) in 2009. Latifa Hospital is a recognized training and exam centre of the MRCOG/ MRCPCH/Arab board/Saudi Board for Anesthesia.
