Position Description:

A leading healthcare institution in Dubai is inviting applications for the role of Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon. The successful candidate will bring advanced expertise in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions in children and adolescents. This position emphasizes clinical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a compassionate approach to care tailored specifically for young patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage a wide variety of pediatric musculoskeletal conditions, including deformities, fractures, growth abnormalities, and spine disorders.
  • Perform sophisticated surgical interventions, including minimally invasive procedures and advanced corrective surgeries.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients, addressing their specific medical and developmental needs.
  • Collaborate with an integrated team of physiotherapists, pediatricians, and rehabilitation specialists to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and guidance to families on treatment options, recovery plans, and long-term management strategies.
  • Actively participate in the development of clinical protocols aimed at enhancing pediatric orthopedic standards of care.
  • Stay informed about the latest advances in pediatric orthopedic surgery and incorporate evidence-based practices into daily operations.
  • Mentor junior medical staff and contribute to teaching and research activities within the institution.
  • Uphold compliance with UAE healthcare regulations while maintaining the highest patient safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery, with a subspecialty focus on Pediatric Orthopedics.
  • Completion of Western education or training (e.g., USA, UK, Canada, or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience post-board certification as a Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon.
  • Proficient in managing complex pediatric cases, including reconstructive and congenital deformities.
  • Strong communication skills paired with a family-centered care approach.
  • Eligibility for DHA licensing to practice in Dubai.
