Position Description:

A leading healthcare institution in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Gastroenterologist to join their expert medical team. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system, offering advanced care through innovative diagnostic techniques and therapeutic procedures. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering exceptional patient care and collaborating within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disorders, and pancreatic diseases.
  • Perform advanced diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, and capsule endoscopy.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans, including medical management, therapeutic interventions, and lifestyle recommendations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, oncologists, and dietitians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment options, preventive measures, and long-term management strategies.
  • Stay updated on advancements in gastroenterology and incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical care.
  • Mentor junior medical staff and contribute to research and educational initiatives within the institution.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology (American Board Certification or equivalent preferred).
  • Western education and/or training (e.g., USA, UK, Canada, or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of post-board certification experience as a Consultant Gastroenterologist.
  • Expertise in performing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Eligibility for DHA licensing to practice in Dubai.
