Dubai hospitals recruit Irish doctors because the DHA grades Irish specialist training alongside the UK, the US, Canada, and Australia, and because English-speaking, Western-trained consultants fill the private sector's most persistent shortages. The push factors are real too. Irish doctors emigrate mainly because consultant posts at home are scarce relative to the number completing higher specialist training, and because take-home pay abroad compares well once Irish tax is counted. Dubai's private groups have been absorbing part of that outflow for a decade, and they compete for it: demand on our current Dubai listings is strongest in paediatric subspecialties, gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynaecology, dermatology, critical care, and ENT. Consultant roles on our current Dubai listings pay between AED 70,000 and 90,000 per month, roughly EUR 16,000 to 22,000, with no income tax deducted. Packages at the major groups usually add housing or a housing allowance, annual flights home, private health insurance for you and your family, and an end-of-service gratuity. Most Irish-trained doctors qualify for DHA exam exemption, because Ireland is on the DHA's list of recognised training countries. The essentials: your degree and CCST documents, a certificate of good standing from the IMC issued within the last six months, a signed logbook for surgical specialties, and DataFlow verification, which is the longest step at four to eight weeks. Licensing typically completes in around three months, and you can run all of it while still working in Ireland, so your licence is ready the day you accept an offer. 1. Free consultation. You tell us your specialty, CCST status, and preferences, and we confirm your DHA grade and eligibility before anything is spent.
2. Licensing. Our in-house team runs your Sheryan application, DataFlow, and DHA registration while you work out your notice in Ireland.
3. Interviews and offer. We shortlist matching Dubai roles, arrange interviews, usually by video, and negotiate your salary and package.
