When Dr. Hecham Harb arrived in Dubai in April 2022, he brought with him over two decades of experience in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, gained across Australia, the UK, and the Middle East. A fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK, Dr. Hecham is passionate about helping patients with obesity management, diabetes, and endocrinology.

Soon after relocating to Dubai, Dr. Hecham partnered up with an investor and he co-founded Endocare, a pioneering obesity clinic in Dubai Healthcare City, where he now also serves as Medical Director as well as a practicing clinician. Endocare is a hybrid health company dedicated to helping patients with weight loss, diabetes management, and comprehensive endocrinology services.

One of the most compelling stories from Dr. Hecham’s practice involves a patient who had struggled with weight for years. When they first met, the patient was frustrated, exhausted, and hesitant about surgery, despite previous failed attempts at weight loss through diets and exercise. He was suffering from shortness of breath, sleep apnea, low energy, and a family history of chronic illnesses.

Over 16 months, this patient lost an incredible 50 kilograms – from 150 to now weighing 100 kg and becoming a completely new person.

The patients’ blood tests have improved dramatically: fatty liver, high cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood sugar levels are now all within normal range and today, the gentlemen is more energetic, optimistic than ever, and he is now able to enjoy everyday activities such as playing with his children, walking up the stairs and feeling much healthier and happier than ever before!
