Position Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Consultant Palliative Care Specialist to join the Palliative Care department of a leading medical institution in Dubai. This position focuses on delivering expert care to patients with complex and terminal conditions, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met with dignity, respect, and exceptional medical professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized palliative care to patients, focusing on pain management and symptom control.
  • Develop personalized care plans that address the holistic needs of patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including oncologists, psychologists, and social workers, to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide empathetic support and guidance to patients’ families and caregivers during challenging times.
  • Mentor and train junior medical staff and students in palliative care practices.
  • Participate in audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the department’s standards.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree with specialization in Palliative Care or related fields.
  • Board certification in Palliative Medicine is highly desirable.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Dubai, UAE.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in palliative care or related specialties.
  • Strong expertise in pain and symptom management for terminal conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust with patients and families.
  • Western-trained education or experience required.
